Indiana struggled to find its rhythm offensively throughout the match. No Hoosier reached double-digit kills, and the team’s hitting percentage was well below Purdue’s. Junior outside hitter Avry Tatum led the Hoosiers with seven kills but was unable to spark her team’s offense.

The Boilermakers’ dominance was evident from the first set, which they won 25-18. Purdue continued to control the match in the second set, winning by a comfortable margin of 25-14. The third set was a complete blowout, with Purdue winning 25-9. The Hoosiers were simply no match for the Boilermakers’ offensive firepower.

The victory improved Purdue’s record to 15-4 (6-2 Big Ten), while Indiana fell to 9-9 (2-6 Big Ten). The Boilermakers moved to 41-11 in home matches against IU and retake control on the Monon Spike, of which the Boilers have won 20 of the last 22 trophy matches. The Boilers victory came before a Big Ten regular season attendance record 14,876 fans.  Purdue faces Ohio State on Wednesday before returning to another sold-out Mackey on Saturday against Wisconsin.
