West Lafayette, IND – The Purdue Boilermakers kicked off the 2024 season with a dominating performance over Indiana State. The offense and defense were clicking in both the first and second units, leading Purdue to a 49-0 victory.
Quarterback Hudson Card threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns on 24 of 25 passes, which ties for an all-time FBS record for completion percentage. Purdue’s rushing core went for 248 yards, led by Devon Mockobee. Redshirt freshman Elijah Jackson broke free for a 69-yard scamper in the third quarter. The Boiler defense forced 10 straight punts, while allowing only 50 yards through the air and 104 yards on the ground.
