The Indiana Hoosiers had a tough day in the season opener against the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes. The final score was 23-3. Offensively nothing worked. The two quarterbacks combined for only 9 complete passes for 82 yards. The Hoosiers ran for only 71 yards. The defense was busy and did hold Ohio State to only 23 points which is a positive. That point total is the fewest Ohio State has had since 1993 versus Indiana. The 380 total yards for Ohio State was also the lowest they have had in the series since 2009. Aaron Casey stood out as the best defensive player for the Hoosiers making 9 tackles with 2 assists. He was the best defensive player on the field on Saturday afternoon. Keep watching Casey because he was named as a player to watch for the Butkus Award. The Hoosiers will Play Indiana State next Friday night in Bloomington.
