
The Kentucky Wildcats took on SEC rival Tennessee Volunteers in the first Sweet Sixteen matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday night. The crowd was definitely for Kentucky as they introduced the players. Tennessee dominated the first half shooting 50% from the field. Zakai Zeigler was their main threat scoring 13 points with 4 assists. Tennessee as up 43-28 at the half. Kentucky tried to make a comeback and cut their deficit down to 12 at one point. Tennessee was too strong and continued their dominance. Zakai Zeigler, Jordan Gainey and Chaz Lanier combined to score 51 of Tennessee’s 78 points. The Volunteers advance with the 78-65 win over Kentucky. Tennessee will play the winner of the Houston/Purdue game on Sunday.
