Spartans Dominate Final Home Meet, Head to Big Ten Championships as No. 2 Seed

Michigan State gymnastics closed its regular season dominantly, posting a 197.475 to defeat Bowling Green in its final home meet at Jenison Field House. The Spartans swept every event and the all-around title, finishing the regular season 14-3.

Junior Nikki Smith led the way, winning the all-around (39.500), vault (9.900, tied with senior Gabrielle Stephen), and bars (9.925, tied with junior Sage Kellerman). Fifth-year senior Giana Kalefe and freshman Cady Duplissis shared the beam title (9.875), while sophomore Elle Beaufait took top honors on the floor (9.950).

MSU now turns its attention to the Big Ten Championships, where it will compete in the Saturday evening session as the No. 2 seed against No. 1 UCLA, No. 3 Minnesota, and No. 4 Michigan. The Spartans, the defending champions, take the floor at 5 p.m. on March 22, live on Big Ten Network.
