
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky gymnastics team delivered a commanding performance on Friday night at Historic Memorial Coliseum, defeating Temple 197.175-194.200 in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 4,003 fans.
The Wildcats set the tone early on vault, posting a 49.275 led by Makenzie Wilson’s 9.900 and Skylar Killough-Wilhelm’s 9.875. Temple scored 48.525 on the same event, with Kyrstin Johnson earning the highest score for the Owls with a 9.750.
Kentucky continued its momentum on uneven bars, scoring 49.225 behind a 9.925 from Skylar Killough-Wilhelm, while Delaynee Rodriguez and Isabella Rivelli each contributed 9.825 and 9.850, respectively. Temple struggled to keep pace, posting a 48.625 despite a strong 9.775 from Megan White.
On the balance beam, Isabella Magnelli’s 9.925 headlined another solid rotation for Kentucky, which tallied a 49.200. Skylar Killough-Wilhelm (9.850) and Delaynee Rodriguez (9.875) helped extend the Wildcats’ lead. Meanwhile, Temple saw Megan White and Brooke Donabedian deliver 9.800s, but errors kept their team total at 48.625.
Kentucky closed out its dominant performance with an electric 49.475 on floor exercise, the team’s highest-scoring event of the night. Hailey Davis (9.925), Skylar Killough-Wilhelm (9.900), and Creslyn Brose (9.900) dazzled the crowd, sealing the Wildcats’ decisive victory. Temple finished with a 48.425 on the event, with Brooke Donabedian and Summer Ruskey each scoring 9.775 to highlight the Owls’ final rotation.
With the victory, Kentucky continues to build momentum as they push toward the postseason. The Wildcats will look to carry their success into their next home meet against SEC rival LSU on Friday night, February 21, with a 7 pm start.
