Columbus North Girls Dominates Rivalry Showdown with the Olympians

The Columbus North girls’ soccer team defeated the East Olympians in dominating fashion, 6-0, Wednesday night at the BCSC Soccer Complex.
Columbus North’s Senior Paige Terry’s header in the 12th minute ignited the Bull Dogs’ offense. The early goal set the tone for the match. North’s Sophmore Avery Baker capitalized on a Rachel Fulp pass later in the first half, with North taking a 2-0 lead at halftime. North’s Baker struck again just over a minute into the second half, converting a rebound to extend the lead to 3-0.
Columbus East, still seeking its first win of the season, managed just one shot on goal all night, compared to North’s impressive 27th shots on goal. Rivalry week will continue on Thursday, with the boys’ soccer teams facing off at the BCSC soccer complex.
