The Butler Bulldogs ladies’ season has come to an end with their 62-51 loss to the Purdue Boilermakers in the second round of the WNIT. The Bulldogs played it close being down by just 3 at half time but Purdue took control as the second half began and Butler could not recover. Riley Makalusky scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for Butler. Sydney Jaynes scored 10 points and has 7 rebounds with 4 assists in the losing effort. Mila Reynolds was the star for Purdue going 4-6 for behind the arch, scoring 15 points in 17 minutes of play. Butler finishes the season with a 15-18 record improving from last year’s record. Four of Five of their starters are returning so next year looks bright at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
