Columbus, OH – In a Monday night showdown at the Covelli Center, the No. 12 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team secured its first Big Ten Conference win by outscoring No. 24 Illinois 197.100-196.175. The Buckeyes, standing at 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the B1G, achieved their third consecutive score of 197.00 this year.
Launching the team’s success on uneven bars, Emma Pritchard set a new personal best with an impressive score of 9.900. Joining her at the top, Harris matched Pritchard’s excellence with a 9.900.
The team continued to shine as Hodges secured her second event title of the meet, closing with a stunning 9.925 on-the-floor exercise. Vetter followed closely with a score of 9.900, securing the second spot overall.
Looking ahead, Ohio State gears up for a Big Ten road test as they face Maryland at the XFINITY Center in College Park on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m.
