Komets squeeze by Cyclones in OT

The Komets looked to extend their winning streak to four in a row after a couple of rough games previously as the Cincinnati Cyclones paid a visit to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Both teams were at top of their division so this would be an important game.

The Komets would get on the board first with a goal form Brady Shaw, Cincinnati would tie it up at 1 -1 with a goal of their own late in the first. It would be a battle of the goalies as both goalies would stop a barrage of shots and not allow anything pass them for the 2nd period.

It would stay that way until Cincinnati’s Justin Valve would break the tie and put Cincy up 2-1.

The Komets would later tie the game up at 2 with a goal from-newly acquired Shaquille Merasty-his first of the season. The game would stay tied at 2 until overtime, and after Cincinnati received a double minor and game misconduct that would give Fort Wayne a 4-3 advantage and Brad Morrison would slide it pass with a nice backhand to end the game.
