Redshirt juniors Ali Patberg and Brenna Wise have been named CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District 5 second team honorees, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Patberg holds a 3.82 GPA in Finance while Wise holds a 3.82 GPA in Marketing and are both in Indiana’s Kelley School of Business.
Patberg, who has been sidelined with an injury since Feb. 6, averages 15.4 points and 5.0 assists per game in her first season in Cream and Crimson. The Columbus, Ind. native has scored in double figures in 18 games and eight times with 20 points or more. She is one of IU’s leaders at the free throw line, shooting 79.8 percent and also adds 5.2 assists per game. In addition, Patberg has earned Big Ten Player of the Week honor roll accolades three times this season.
Wise has played and started in all 27 games of her first season at IU. She is averaging 12.1 points per game and leads IU on the glass with 6.8 rebounds per game. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native is one of the country’s top free throw shooters, going 92.2 percent from the charity stripe. She has scored in double figures in 15 games and shoots 44.1 percent from the floor. Wise has three double-doubles on her resume this season and scored her 1,000th collegiate point in January.
